Privacy

No ads for now, and no tracking cookies (if you sign in, one cookie keeps you signed in). Ads or other ways of paying for the site may come later; if we ever change this policy, we will post a notice on the site before it takes effect. Everything works without an account, and votes are anonymous: we store a daily-rotating hash of your connection (never your IP address) only to limit spam and count each vote once. Your compare list and preferences live in your own browser. Search terms with no result may be logged anonymously so we know which games to add.

If you choose to sign in (Twitch, Discord, Google or Steam), we keep only your provider, that provider's user ID, your display name and your avatar picture. We never see your password, never store your email, and keep no access tokens. Your profile, and the list of games you mark as owned, wished for or finished, are private unless you turn on a public handle (and, separately, your public shelf). Only totals per game, such as how many players own it, are shown to everyone. If you sign in with Steam, or connect a Steam account to another sign-in, and press Import, we read your Steam game list once, keep only the games that match our catalog, and store nothing else (no playtime). A connected Steam account is kept as its public Steam ID only, and you can disconnect it at any time. Delete your account at any time and all of it is erased.
